A ‘green’ holiday in Istria
Istria is situated on the biggest peninsula in the Adriatic Sea. Tourists flock to Istria each year visiting well known national parks such as Brijuni and nature park Ucka. The Brijuni Archipelago has over 680 different plant species and beautiful olive groves.... With such an abundance of natural beauty it is well worth a visit!
History and culture
The city of Porec is nearly 2000 years old and is situated directly on the Adriatic Sea. Porec has an historic city centre and a beautiful boulevard to enjoy a leisurley stroll. The Roman and Venetian buildings are still in good condition. The Basilica of Euphrasius dated from the 6th century AD is the most famous building in Porec. In the city of Palu you can visit the temple of Augustus and its Roman amphitheatre. So there is plenty of culture to enjoy whilst on your camping holiday in this beautiful region!

Traveling by car
· The maximum speed limit on the highway is 130 km/hour (80mph). For drivers under 24 years old the speed limit is 120 km/hour
· In Croatia it is the law to have the following items in your the car:
- Warning triangle
- High visibility vest. The driver must wear this in the event of an accident or breakdown
- Please note: if driving through Belgium a fire extinguisher must be in the car and a vignette needs to be purchased if travelling down from Germany.
In Croatia most stores are open Monday to Friday from 08.00-20.00 o’clock and on Saturdays and Sundays from 08.00-14.00 o’clock. Supermarkets are opened from Monday to Friday from 06.00-19.30 o ‘clock.
