A visit to Tarragona?

We would recommend a city trip whilst on the Costa Dorada - must visit is Tarragona! This imposing city is situated close to Barcelona - Carnivals are a big celebration here. Visit the historic monuments like the ruins of the old Tarraco from the Roman era and the Roman Comitium or the old city walls? The oldest building of Tarragona is the amphitheatre which dates back to the 1st century AD

Travelling by car

·  The maximum speed limit on the highway is 130 km/hour (80mph).

·  On most Spanish motorways there is toll.

·  In Spain it is obligated to have the following things in the car:

-  Warning triangle

-  High visibility vest. The driver must wear this in the event of an accident or breakdown

When you travel trough France to Spain:

From 1 July 2012 it is obligated to have an alcohol tester in the car (throw away breathalyzer).

Opening times

In Spain the stores usually open from Tuesday to Saturday from 09.00 or 10.00-13.30 or 14.00 o’clock and from 17.00-20.00 or 20.30 o’clock. On Saturdays the stores are opened from 09.30 or 10.00-13.30  Department stores and big town centres are opened from 10.00-20.00 o’clock.
