There are so many places of interest here, like Sirmione with her imposing castle Rocca Scaligera and the Roman ruins. A bit further in Salò, you’ll find the regional nature park Alto Garda Bresciano or visit the cathedral dated from 1509 in Salò and the Palazzo della Magnifica Patria from 1524. Another beautiful village is Desenzano del Garda where you can visit the Duomo (Dom) and the 10th century Castello. The city of Riva del Garda is known for her tower: Torre Apponale which dates from 1220 and Palazzo Pretorio from 1375. Here you can also visit the castle of the hillside of the Monte Rochetta from the Venetian era. All in all there is plenty of culture and history to explore while on holiday on Lake Garda.
